I'm new, Parapro requirements

<span style="color:darkblue"></span>
Hi, My name is Rachel and I work for the Lake Pend Oreill school district. We parapro's are now just getting to know about these requirements. But word hasn't gotten around yet here. Nobody really care's or knows what is going on. I only know that the College of Southern Idaho and Treasure Valley community college of Oregon offer parapro programs which are online. The test is called ETS but where/what or when does one take it? My district doesn't even have a paraprofessional development program or a rep. To demonstrate two years of post secondary education, an indiviual in Idaho must have 32 official college credits in academic core classes. IF a paraprofessional has an associate's degree it must be in an academic subject area or a specialized paraprofessional coursework from a college or university to be able to work for the school district. SOOO that also means we paraprofessionals have to pay for everything. Joy.
