Why so much intimidation?

Recently, I witnessed a very sweet para become an obvious target of retaliation by her administrators. She complained about getting beat up (I saw the bruises)
by a non-verbal, severely intellectually disabled boy with Autism. Why did they turn on her? Why are they trying to get her to quit? There are several teachers who love to work with her. They know what is happening. No one speaks up for her. Two other teachers joined the "lets-get-her club" by providing untrue, scathing statements about her to the administrator. This led to disciplinary meetings; three in just two months. One of the meetings was centered around the fact that she was seven minutes late to work. The statements have some truth in them, but it is so twisted. There are also out-right lies told about her.Why are they trying to get her to quit? Finally, why are so many teachers so afraid to speak up?

This is a UNION call. It is

This is a UNION call. It is sad that this goes on, but it does. Keep quiet, and only speak to the union reps. I know things will work out for her, even if she goes to a school closer to her home, and where the nasty ones are kept in check.

That is my question, do you

That is my question, do you have a union? All paras should join the union if possible. This kind of intimidation has gone on for years, it is important to have someone stand up for her. That makes me really sad.

Hello, This is a sad story.

Hello,
This is a sad story. You may be the support that this para needs now. Have you been to the administrators on her behalf or is that possible? It sounds like she needs to contact a lawyer. Is she in a union? If she is, the union should fight the battle for her. I pray things work out in her favor.
