Update Chit Chat

Wow- It appears that there hasn't been much activity here in quite a while! Let's change that. My name is Margie Primus and I am starting my 22yr. as a Spec. Ed Para in Waterbury, CT. I work at an urban arts magnet school with middle school & high school students. I love my job and would like to chit chat with others. This is a wonderful resource that we should make good use of!

Hi Margie,

I'm Jan Calvin and am starting my 17th year as a paraeducator in Sigourney, IA. I work at the alternative high school. We have up to 20 students during the school year. I love my job, the kids are trying at times but that goes with the territory.

I know what you mean about the lack of activity, I've been a member for seven years.

Hi Jan! Nice to meet you also. Working in an alternative high school MUST be tough at times. I also love my job- it's the other "stuff" that sometimes gets to me. We are short handed, doing the best we can to cover all of our students, but it's very hard. Definitely rewarding though! We started last Thursday- how about you?
