state designed paraprofessional assessment

I am interested to find out if the state department of education in Illinois has designed a paraprofessional assessment. If so, where could I locate additional information? We are all in this thing together! Joy

When is the next time I can

ParaproAssesment Test

JRunyan, Hi! I see you have posted a question on this wesite in regards to the Paraprofessional Assesment. There is one in every state, which is called the Parapro-Test. Te test is taken at 7:30 a.m. until 11:30-12:00 p.m. You can call the college near your home for information on the Pre-Test class, which is a grant from the state and is free to you. You must take this class before you scedule the test date. After taking the class, you will recieve the booklet from the instructor to register for this test yourself. After taking the class, register right away if you feel ready to take the test. Secondly, I have taken this test myself 2 times and came up short 15 points, of which I beleive was mostly in the math section of the test. The test is given by ETS and I believe that they have a website that you can print out all of the information that they provide on-line as far as what to expect on the test. There is reading, writing and math. The test is intensively simple, but be sure that you go by process of illimination in answers to help yourself get through this test as it goes pretty quickly, when taking each part of the test. But you will have to register at a college that gives the prep-class for the Parapro-Test first. Then you can take it from there. Good-Luck! Paraprofession52@Aol.Com
