Standards for the Paraprofession

I have been researching the topic of national standards and certification. There is a coalition of organizations recognized by the National Skill Standards Board to develop a national system of voluntary skill standards, assessments and certification systems for theEducation adn Training Industry. They have a web page www.etvp.org. They have defined "what is a skill standard?" and list the "Critical Work funcation" of a Special Education Support personnel.
