Re; Testing in my state

Hello, I was hoping someone out there could help. I Pennsylvania and I want to take the para prof. assessment test. I do not have a degree to teach, I just want to apply for a teachers assistant in my district and I am told that it helps to have passed this test. I have searched online and can't find out exactly where I need to go to take this test, who I need to contact, etc. If anyone in Pa could direct me I would really appreciate it. Maybe even email me privately with a link that may be helpful for me.Thanks so much.....Jo

testing in PA
Jo, Here's a link to the Pennsylvania Title I Paraprofessional Standards, http://www.pde.state.pa.us/k12/cwp/view.asp?a=166&q=108909. You may want to contact the district in which you would like to work and find out what assessment they require and accept. They should be able to connect you with how and where you can take the test. Good luck! Phyllis
