WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PERSONAL AND INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT?
Personal Assistant is one person to a special needs child. Those duties are Feeding,Hygiene ,Behavior,Safety,Position. An Instructional Assistant is one person who works with the teacher inside the classroom as a aid to the complete classroom. The training as Personal Assistant is more indepth than a Instructional Assistant. The Instructional Assistant just has to take the para pro test. A personal Assistant has take the test and then go to training for five to six weeks and be CPR Cert. well hope this helps . MS JL
