Para's Running Computer Lab Using CCC

Hello, I would like to hear from anyone that is running a lab using CCC, (Computer Curriculum Corporation) now known as Pearson Educational Technologies. I have a 15 computer station lab. We run the 5.4 version that includes some new programs such as, Math Corner, Story Painter, Reading Adventures Primary, and Writer's Studio along with the regular Math and Reading Programs. I would just like to link up with others using these programs and maybe get some new ideas. I have started a CCC user networking group here in Iowa that has been very helpful, but could always use new ideas from others. Please let me hear from you. Kathy :wink:

Science Lab "teacher" K-2

Hi, I teach 30 minute blocks of science to grades K-2. I have my own designated room which is connected to library. However, I do all the lesson plans, experiments, etc.. This is my 7th year. Someone told me that because I teach a "class" w/o actually aiding a teacher, that I should be compensated in higher pay scale. Is there anyone out there who teaches a class whether computer, art, music or science lab....that is the actual "teacher"... And what are the laws regarding this? What group do we fall under? I love my job!!! Even though I teach over 600 children a week. Have a Happy Day!

Hi my name is Carolyn. I work in a computer lab setting. I also use the ccc lab or pearson digital software known as successmaker. I have alot of great ideas that I am using in my lab. Send me an email or reply if you would still like to know some of my suggestions.

Hi Carolyn,
I work as the computer proctor in an elementary school. In our CCC lab we have 26 computers and we have the fifth grade classes coming in to do SuccessMaker lessons. Any suggestions that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
