Para-to-Teacher Programs

Is anyone aware of any training programs in Minnesota that helps paraeducators become teachers? It sounds like Colorado, Alabama and New York have these opportunities. Any feedback? Other states out there with these programs? Can you share? Thanks. Barbara

Para-to-Teacher Programs

Hi Barbara; Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, Ia has such a program. You can get a 2 year degree with them and transfer to Mt Mercy College Cedar Rapids Iowa to finish the teaching degree. Web site is www.kirkwood.cc.ia.us. Contact person there is Susan Simon. Denise :D
