The nurse has sent home instructions to the parents of a child with chronic head lice which instructs them to put up the child hair. Since the parent is noncompliant I am being told to put up the childs hair.
Under the heading of "Health" Our Pre-k manual states "Children with medical concerns of any kind should go to the nurse."
I see this as a health related task regarding a contagious condition.
Am I responsible to put up this childs hair?
Sorry anonymous. We have to take at least 6 hours of courses offered by our school district for the first
6 years then it goes to 4. We have to do that on our own time and it is not negotiated in our contract.These
are 98% of the time non credited courses, but deal with different subject matters that are supposed to be helpful
to our job description.
Begin by finding out what level he is at,
then by listening to what the teacher is instructing,
provide some similar instruction.
Or meet with the teacher and ask for
assistance in providing academic work
