Length of time with individual student.

Does anyone know if there is a state law restricted the length of years that a paraprofessional can be with a student? I started with this student in K and her parents are concerned that I will not continue with her. A new employee has stated to several people that there is a state law preventing me from continuing as her aide. I have researched everywhere I can think of and can find nothing...let me know your thoughts.

I have never heard of such a law . Where does this new employee get this info. from. I have traded students with other para's before I seemed to get as far as I could with the child. Even whole groups, this seemed to work well after working half of the year with me and the other half with someone else, it seemed to double the possibility for success.
