Child Sitting Training...Paras may be interested!

Dear Paras--

I work at a school for children with Austism.  Many of the parents who send their children are always in need of child sitters, so, with a parent advisory panel we created a four-session training series that trains people interested in working with children with ASD AND also trains the parents in why they need a sitter!

Please look at our training offereing, which may lead to paid child sitting work for the participating families of our school.

Creating Kinships: Matching Families with ASD Children with Sitters

Thursday October 14, 2010, 5:30pm-8:30pm
Tuesday, October 19, 2010, 5:30pm-8:30pm

VFES, in partnership with West Chester University and Wanna Play Program is presenting this unique workshop series designed to support families with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).  The sessions will help: parents recognize the effects of stress on physical and mental health of all family members and the special considerations for hiring childcare for an ASD child; train people interested in working with the ASD population to assist families by allowing time for outside employment or social and/or recreational break time, and for full or part-time or intermittent paid work; and create an opportunity for parents and trainees to meet.

The deadline is September 20, 2010!!!!

Thanks so much. We hope to see you!
