A day in Junior High

I work with 7th/8th grade students. Each year the schedule is different, classes, duties, etc. This year, I have two morning hall duties, lot less than usual. I work all seven periods with a 20 minute lunch (not nearly enough some days to get your head together). I work with three 8th grade classes (co teach Science, SC Math & English, four 7th grade classes (SC Math x 3, SC English) Our schedule seems to get changed at the drop of a hat so my motto is don't get too used to the same schedule, it can change with the writing of a note. And of course the most enjoyed covering of classes at the ring of a phone.
Due to very low SOL scores in English, there have been days of training for a new reading series. None of the meetings were ever meant for Para's, but we will be running those too. just like the teachers who got all the training.
There are six para's at my school. We all feel unappreciated and belittled a lot of the time. It is great to see that others feel the same way, it means a lot. wink
