Hotel Information
The conference will be held at the Hilton Salt Lake City Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The guest room rate is $109.00 for a single/double occupancy plus 12.67% percent tax, per night.
To ensure that you receive the conference special room rate, reservations must be received at the hotel by March 29, 2009. You can reserve a room through their website or by calling (801) 328-2000. After you call, be sure to ask for the NRCP/ National Paraeducator Conference.
Please note: The hotel will also honor these rates from Tuesday, April 28 through Sunday, May 3, 2009- be sure to register before then! Also, if you need special accommodations be sure to request them when making the reservation.

Transportation
The Hilton Salt Lake Center is just eight miles and a quick fifteen minute drive from the Salt Lake International Airport. The hotel’s dedicated airport shuttle service, VALLEY SHUTTLE, picks up at the airport every twenty minutes for just $8.00 each way (prices subject to change). Transportation service is available seven days a week 5:00 AM-11:00 PM. During off hours transportation will be provided by appointment only.
Taxis
There are three main taxi companies in Salt Lake City, and each offers 24-hour service: City Cab; Yellow Cab and Ute Cab. You can call for service or hail them in the street, but they are not as plentiful as other major cities. Some downtown hotels like the Salt Lake Hilton have taxi stands. A one way taxi fare from the airport to the Hilton Salt Lake Center is $10-15
Public Transportation
As with most cities, driving is the preferred form of transportation. However, Salt Lake City’s offers light rail, an above ground subway service known as TRAX, along with a good number of buses. Both systems offer over 100 various routes throughout the Wasatch Front and also service cities 45 miles to the north such as Ogden, and 40 miles south such as Provo. Sunday service is available on some bus routes.
TRAX
Salt Lake’s above ground subway known as Trax, a 15-mile light rail service runs between 10000 South in Sandy (South Salt Lake Valley) and the Delta Center in Downtown Salt Lake City. There are 16 stations, so you can leave the downtown area very quickly to explore the Salt Lake Valley and easily return to the Hilton. Trax trains stop every 10 to 30 minutes between 5:30am and 11:00pm on weekdays and Saturday (Now until 1am on the weekends).
Fares
The standard one-way fare within the valley is $ 1.60 A large section of the Downtown area, including Temple Square and the area just west of the State Capitol, is a fare-free zone and there is no charge if visitors enter and exit a bus or TRAX between the designated streets. Full-fare tickets can be purchased from vending machines or when boarding the bus. These tickets are valid for two hours from the time of purchase and can be used as often as necessary on both buses and light rail. A full day pass is valid for unlimited rides on buses and TRAX for $ 4.25.
