Hello. I am Sheri Spath and am a doctoral student at NSU. My backround is teaching special education (autistic and varying exceptionalities) in Florida and Arkansas. I have worked with 4 different paraprofessionals and have to say that they taught me so much and remain some of my best friends. I am currently working on my dissertation which is on best practices in paraprofessional training and am hoping to get input along the way from paraprofessionals who want to make a difference in improving training methods. I hope I will get some response and ideas from some of you at this site. I am assuming that paraprofessionals involved in a website such as this one will be the ones who are looking into the future of this most important profession.
